WWWE Logo Descriptive Markup

Descriptive markup is the use of special elements added to the text of a document to represent its structure and behavior. The elements or characters are delimited using angle brackets. In HTML, for example, start and end tags constitute descriptive markup, and tell a browser that the text between the tags is described by the tags themselves.
